As a rule, the territories of national parks, nature reserves and wildlife preserves are amounted to hectares, and ensuring their safety by human forces is a rather difficult task. Video surveillance, on the other hand, has gained a reputation as one of the best security tools, and the use of video surveillance systems in such large-scale natural objects as nature reserves, national parks and wildlife preserves is an excellent assistant to ensure safety of these objects.

Aerial Surveillance with Drones

Compact and agile, oftentimes with a camera onboard, drones can infiltrate areas that could hardly be accessible otherwise. Whether it’s too distant, too high or too low, too hard to get to personally, drones can be there. The first person view effect of a drone’s camera is really a form of one-person real time video surveillance, and can be used for live monitoring or investigation.

A killer feature would be when the agility of drones will be combined with low latency artificial intelligence analysis. The AI can be trained to be looking for a missing person, detection of abnormal situation or a triggerring factor for dispatching of humans. In our new article we let ourselves fantasize a little about uses of artificial intelligence in Aerial Surveillance with Drones. Read more

The Additional option ‘Joystick for PTZ control’ opens up an opportunity to use a USB control board to control PTZ cameras in a machine that runs a Windows operating system. Such control boards and the advantages they offer can be used in mid- and large-scale systems to facilitate control over video wall cameras for security operators, as well as by private individuals for more convenient camera management.
