Getting started
Let’s get it started: how to use Xeoma
From download to live camera view in minutes. Xeoma requires no installation, no admin rights, and works right out of the box on Windows, Linux, macOS, and Android.
Seven steps to your surveillance system
Follow these steps, and you’ll have a fully working video surveillance system with recording, motion detection, and remote access up and running in no time.
Download the version for your OS (Windows, Linux, macOS, Android). Unpack (for Linux). Both the server and the client parts are included in one file. No installation is needed for the desktop version.
Double-click the file (or run from the console). By default, without a license, Xeoma starts in the Trial mode — full functionality, with unlimited launches. You can switch modes any time via Main Menu -> Information.
On first launch a welcome window appears with quick-start options: auto-scan for cameras, add a demo camera, and remote server connection. Choose one of the camera options to start working.
Xeoma scans the local network automatically. Found cameras are added with a ready-made default module chain. Password-protected cameras appear in the “+” menu for manual credential entry.
Click the Play button in the top-right corner of any camera preview, or the large Play button in the bottom panel, to open the built-in archive player.
Click the Gear button in the top-right corner of any camera preview or the large Gear button in the bottom panel to open Detailed Settings, where you can add, remove, or reconnect modules. Try different motion detection zones, AI analytics, notifications, and more — all by drag-and-drop.

What gets added with every camera
When Xeoma finds and adds a camera automatically, it creates a ready-to-use module chain with sensible defaults. You can change, remove, or extend it at any time.
Lite / Standard / Pro / Trial editions:
Free / Starter editions:
The Scheduler is omitted in Free/Lite editions due to the module count limit per chain.
