We are delighted to announce the release of the new beta version of Xeoma, 23.12.7, with over 40 innovations, changes and improvements – including several dozens of new features. All the more reasons to try the new beta version!
The new version’s most notable new additions are thumbnail previews above the timeline in Xeoma’s Archive Player, simplified connection with QR codes, the long-waited for support for hardware acceleration in AMD Radeon graphics cards, RuTube broadcasting, automatic restoration of focus in ONVIF-compliant PTZ cameras, Text Recognition’s new optimizations to work with household or industrial meters, new notifications with mobile alerts about server outages, the search bar in Device List, support for webRTC in ARM-based machines, a special pass list in ‘QR Code Recognition’ – all of which will be available in Xeoma Beta 23.12.7.
Besides, the following have been enhanced, too: Xeoma’s search for cameras, PTZ presets and tours, API and console commands, ‘Face Detector (Emotions)’, ‘HTTP Request Sender’, ‘Smoke Detector’, ‘Freight Unloading Counter’, ‘Cross-Line Detector’, ‘ANPR’.

The new official version of Xeoma is based on Xeoma Beta 23.8.10 which means that it focuses on fixing the operation of artificial intelligence options in the ‘Motion Detector’, ‘Object Recognizer’, ‘Cross-Line Detector’, ‘Visitors Counter’, ‘Parking Spots’ modules. That issue was that in old operating systems the modules would sometimes stop working after the Xeoma update, and in new UNIX-based systems Xeoma would sometimes display a false warning that a few more libraries were required for these features to function. This is fixed in the new release.

Starting with Xeoma beta 23.6.14 we released a new module called “Freight unloading counter”. This Xeoma module is based on artificial intelligence and deep machine learning. It detects freight vehicles in the camera field of view and counts the ones that got unloaded. This module is available in Pro edition.

We are glad to inform you that we have updated our article about Problems detector module. In the updated article you can find screenshots with module settings, as well as their description. Problems detector module in Xeoma is a ready-made tool for monitoring system health. With the help of the Problems detector, you can not only receive a notification if someone tampered the camera, but also set up a lot of other notifications, as well as record all problems in the log file. Xeoma Pro: view recordings directly from cameras and NVRs/DVRs in Xeoma
Starting with Xeoma beta 23.3.22 we added a unique functionality to view recordings directly from ONVIF-compliant cameras and NVRs/DVRs in Xeoma. This option is recommended for Hikvision devices. It is a useful capability that allows you to view recordings from your camera’s or NVR’s/DVR’s SD-card (or any other connected storage) directly in Xeoma’s archive player. You can save the network bandwidth by creating an autonomous system where your camera is recording as a standalone device, and then turn on the internet only while downloading the recordings in Xeoma.

Please welcome the first official version of Xeoma in the year 2023: Xeoma 23.1.25! The new version starts small but strong, officially introducing the new ‘Bird Detector’ module designed to track birds that relies on computer vision and thermal imaging, and works with no other equipment than just a camera and a computer with Xeoma. In more good news, users of the ‘Telegram Bot Notifications’ module will be pleased to know that the module is now available in Xeoma Standard (in addition to initial availability in Xeoma Pro). Of course, there are also improvements and fixes in the new version, too: for example, Xeoma is now free of the bug in the ‘Motion Detector’ module where sensitivity threshold would reset; or from the crash at using CTRL+Z combination in editable fields.

Bird Detector. Xeoma module.
The Bird Detector is a module based on artificial intelligence that detects birds in the camera’s field of view and helps you keep track of them. This module is designed for use on thermal PTZ cameras, but it can be used with fixed thermal cameras as well. The module is able to recognize a bird at a distance of up to 350 meters, even when the bird looks like a dot on the screen. Based on AI-powered technologies predicting the bird’s flight direction, the module allows you to move the PTZ camera in the direction of the bird’s flight, following it as smoothly as possible.
