2.1. Xeoma software key licenses:
By default, Xeoma licenses are delivered in the form of a software key — a serial number delivered to the email address specified at the time of purchase.
Delivery time: License will be sent to the email used during purchase, as soon as the payment is confirmed, usually in a few minutes! If you didn’t receive it, please check the Spam folder of your email, or contact us from another email so that we could reach you.
A software key license can be activated only on one server, but you can connect to that activated server from an unlimited number of remote locations (client parts don’t require registration).
Attention! We do not recommend activating Xeoma software key licenses on virtual machines (including Docker) and containers as we can not guarantee stable work of licenses in such cases. We recommend using physical machines, where it’s possible.
2.2. Xeoma hardware keys:
For an additional fee, you can purchase Xeoma licenses as hardware keys – on a USB device that is to be inserted into the server’s USB port. A package with a hardware key is delivered by courier to a physical address.
Hardware keys can be transferred between servers, but one key can be used only on one device at the same time. You can use multiple hardware keys on one server (depending on server capabilities).
It is impossible to change the license type from software to hardware or vice versa. You can add new licenses to the already formed hardware key via Offline activation.
Warranty for hardware keys is 3 years since purchase date (limitations apply).

2.3. General conditions for software and hardware licenses:
Licenses can be combined: You can expand your security system by acquiring and activating additional licenses of the same type (exclusions: 1) Xeoma Starter (cannot be combined), 2) Xeoma Lite (can be combined up to 4 cameras per server)).
Licenses are universal for different operating systems: Windows, Linux, Mac OS X and Android.
Xeoma Starter, Xeoma Lite, Xeoma Standard, Xeoma Pro licenses and licenses for Additional modules are for lifetime, and have no expiration date.
Already generated licenses can’t be divided into parts to be activated on separate machines.

Remote connections (remote setup, camera addition and configuration, training, webinars) are provided on a paid basis.
Kindly make sure to create backups of Xeoma’s full configuration, keep it in a safe place (e.g. on another PC/device/USB drive) and use it to restore everything if anything goes wrong.
We highly recommend creating such a backup once our work is completed. You can create backups in Xeoma via Main menu – Install – Restore – “Export settings” and “Import settings” options. This way you will always be able to restore all settings or get your cameras back without the need to pay for the remote connection.

Important: Camera/video source is any video source of signal (camera, Another Xeoma, screen capture, file reading).

Repeater and Xeoma Cloud subscriptions aren’t included (if needed, can be bought separately)
Remember that by purchasing licenses for Xeoma video surveillance software for business and home security you encourage further development of the product and adding of new features!
Xeoma has several types of licenses and subscriptions with different validity periods.
3.1. Lifetime Xeoma licenses.
Xeoma licenses (Xeoma Starter, Xeoma Lite, Xeoma Standard, Xeoma Pro) and licenses for Additional modules are purchased in the form of a lifelong, perpetual license by default. Depending on the option chosen, Xeoma Standard and Xeoma Pro licenses and licenses for Additional Modules allow program updates for one, three or ten years from the date of purchase. Please note: the countdown starts from the moment of purchase, not from the moment of activation. Software updates are not available for Xeoma Lite and Xeoma Starter.
After the expiration of the free updates period of a license, the license remains valid, however it is forbidden to get new versions of the program. In this case, we recommend to settle with the version of Xeoma you currently have and stop updating the program. To continue receiving program updates after the expiration of a license’s free updates period, you will need to stop using such a license, or purchase a Renewal for this license and activate it (available only for Xeoma Standard and Xeoma Pro licenses).
3.2. Rented licenses
Monthly rental licenses is available for Xeoma Standard and Xeoma Pro licenses. Fees for such licenses are charged monthly. Automatic prolongation of rented licenses is available for payments through PayPal. For other payment methods, the payer undertakes the responsibility to renew the rent on time. The payer has the right to stop using the leased licenses at any time. Unused rental time is not refundable.
If the payer did not renew the rented license on time, it will expire and the program will automatically switch into the trial mode, ignoring the settings and archives made by the Xeoma program during the time the rented license has been working.
Rented licenses require constant access to the Internet to work.
3.3. Subscriptions
Repeater and Xeoma Cloud are optional services purchased by subscription. Payment for such services is charged monthly. You can purchase a subscription for a longer period. Automatic monthly subscription renewals are available for payments via PayPal. For other payment methods, the payer undertakes responsibility to renew the subscription on time.
The payer has the right to stop using service subscriptions at any time. Unused time or possibilities of subscriptions are not refundable.
If the payer did not renew the Xeoma Cloud subscription before expiration, the account becomes unavailable, and the settings and records made during the subscription period are kept for 7 days. During this time, the payer has the opportunity to renew the subscription and restore the account. In 7 days from the end of the subscription all data will be permanently deleted and will be impossible to restore.

Xeoma Standard has the full set of features except for professional features only available in Xeoma Pro and the Additional modules that are purchased separately.
No extra fees: Licenses for Xeoma surveillance software are one-time payment (no monthly or annual fees).
Licenses are valid for lifetime with unlimited access to technical support.
Attention! Adding new licenses to the existing ones does not extend the period of free updates for old licenses. In order to extend the update period get the renewal for as many cameras as you had in the expired license.

Xeoma Starter is the most minimalistic paid edition of Xeoma that can be used for home use and for business.
Limited functionality.
Unlimited number of video sources (cameras) can be used in Xeoma Starter for live view (upper limit of cameras that can be connected depends on your equipment only).
Maximum number of video sources (cameras) in that can be recorded in Xeoma Starter is 2.
Xeoma Starter is available for version Xeoma 20.10.13 and up.
Xeoma Starter can be activated on virtual machines (including Docker, etc.) starting from version 20.10.22.
Xeoma Starter licenses are one-time payment (no monthly or annual fees) and for lifetime. Only one Xeoma Starter license can be activated on one server (Xeoma Starter licenses cannot be combined).
Xeoma Starter doesn’t support updates of the program, and renewals are not applicable. In case you want to use a newer version of Xeoma with your Xeoma Starter license, a new Xeoma Starter license must be purchased (or a new Xeoma Lite, Xeoma Standard or Xeoma Pro license). You can use the version that you activated Xeoma Starter on for unlimited time without getting new versions of Xeoma.
Attention! Xeoma Starter licenses do not summarize with Xeoma Lite, Xeoma Standard or Xeoma Pro licenses, with Additional modules, renewals or upgrade licenses! But Xeoma Starter can be used with Xeoma Cloud and Repeater subscriptions (not included into Xeoma Starter licenses and should be bought separately when needed).

Xeoma Lite is a light edition, ideal for small and medium size business and home use. Limited functionality.
Maximum number of video sources in Xeoma Lite is 4. Within that number, Lite licenses summarize.
Xeoma Lite is available for version Xeoma 15.6.26 and up.
No extra fees: Xeoma Lite licenses are one-time payment (no monthly or annual fees) and for lifetime.
Xeoma Lite doesn’t support updates of the program, and renewals are not applicable. You can use the version that you activated Xeoma Lite on for unlimited time.
Lite doesn’t support activation on virtual machines, including Docker, on Xeoma versions older than 20.10.13. Starting from this version, Xeoma Lite can be activated on virtual machines as well.
Attention! Xeoma Lite licenses do not summarize with Xeoma Standard or Xeoma Pro licenses, or renewals or upgrade licenses! But Lite can be used with Xeoma Cloud and Repeater subscriptions (not included into Xeoma Lite licenses and should be bought separately when needed)
