Adding the trial license: what to expect

Q: After adding the trial license, it seems like I’m not allowed to add more than 2 cameras, is this normal?
I’m using the same procedure as I did with the “free” version. The one that resets settings every 8hours or so

A: “Free” version does not reset your settings every 8 hours, instead it allows to use to more than 2 cameras for archiving. More about it here
“Trial” version has no limits on the number of cameras but it does reset settings every 8 hours. More about it here

Neither one of these versions should be of interest to you, though, since you have a temporary license – it acts as a nomal license would, it just has a timer built in.
It is also activated like regular licenses are – but not like the Free or Trial edition – through Main Menu -> Registration -> Activate

Number of cameras you are allowed to add depends on how many cameras the license is for. We usually state that when we send the demo license. You can also see that in Main menu -> Information -> Active licenses after activation. Or you can request license information with this page.

You may want to make sure that Xeoma is running in its commercial mode – this will ensure that the license is used properly.
