Xeoma Cloud: which intensity of recording option to choose in subscription calculator

Q: We are considering using a xeoma cloud account. In the subscription type calculator the drop-down menu there is a choice that says: recording hours 9-19 hr; 5 days a week. Is this just an example or can we use a scheme for recording outside the opening hours of our shop (evening/night), in case of a burglar alarm at night. We like to hear more about the possible choices.

A: The options like ‘Scheduled recording’ or ‘Rare movement’ under the “RESOLUTION AND BITRATE” box is to establish how much recordings do you estimate there will be in your account.
Sure, they are just examples determined to consider how intensive will be in your case (if any) to properly accommodate your account.

You can use “Scheduler” module (or multiple ones) to record archives according to a certain schedule (e.g. daily from 19:00 to 08:00) or filters like Motion Detector – or a combination of them. The more recordings you will need to store, the more space you’d need for that in Xeoma Cloud, which mean a more expensive subscription (as compared to what you could have opted for if you didn’t need this much recordings).

Tip: Xeoma Cloud requires your cameras to have a public IP address (usually purchased from your Internet provider) + port forwarding. If your cameras do not have static IP address, you can use these substitution options to add your cameras (advanced level)
