IP camera works in Single-Camera View but doesn’t work in Multi-Camera View (or in reverse)

Q: When I click on the window, I get the add/remove module, but the camera shows the appropriate image, currently, my ceiling. When I go back to the 4 window view, the error returns. Help?

A: When you can see the camera stream alright in one of Xeoma’s windows (for example, in the Single-Camera View window), but don’t see it when you switch to the other window (for example, in the Multi-Camera View window), it’s reason enough to suspect this has to do with the direct saving to the archive mechanics of Xeoma.

In such cases the first go-to tip is to open Universal camera settings and try choosing a different URL from the list titled “Preview stream parameters” (for when Multi-Camera View doesn’t have image from the camera while Single-Camera View does) or in the “Archive stream parameters” (for when Multi-Camera View has image and Single-Camera View doesn’t).
Wait for a couple of minutes after the change and see if it helps.

Alternatively, you can copy the contents of the “Archive stream parameters” box and paste them in the “Preview stream parameters” in the first case, or in reverse in the second case.
