We don’t know which of the software to buy. Could you enlighten us on differences?

Q: We don’t know which of the following software to buy because our client need only for camera viewing without recording. Kindly enlighten us differences of the following software posted in your website Xeoma Starter, Xeoma Lite, Xeoma Standard and Xeoma Pro.

A: For large projects with dozens of cameras and recording, especially if you want to use PTZ on cameras or any of the extra Additional smart modules, you’ll need either Xeoma Standard license or Xeoma Pro.

Basically, Xeoma Starter and Lite editions are primarily used for home surveillance and small installations.
Starter can be used for live view of unlimited number of cameras with recording only from 2 cameras max.
Lite can be used for up to 4 cameras (both live view and recording are available but 4 cameras per computer is a maximum).

Standard and Pro are mostly used for larger scale video surveillance where cameras amount is not limited (depending on the purchased licenses) and can be increased anytime.
Pro includes advanced video analytics and intellectual modules, as well as this edition can be used to create your own Cloud service.
Besides, AI-based additional modules can only be used with either Standard or Pro licenses, so if you need, say, Emotion Recognition, your choice of base edition is centered around Standard or Pro.
