Responses to user support requests. Weekly overview. Part 27.

Q: I do like the software. But it is 2 much a year for private home use.

A: Xeoma licenses are perpretual – you make a one-time purchase and can use the license with no limitations.
1 year is the period of free update period included – Xeoma ususally haas 3-4 new versions a year, and changes can really be impressive. For instance, in the latest release (current version) we created totally next-level face recognition algorithm with 99% accuracy. You can read about each version’s updates on this page. https://felenasoft.com/xeoma/en/changes/ Alternatively, you can consider a license monthly rent – the price is 1/10 of the full license price.

What’s more, we have special offers that allow to get licenses for free.

There are at least 4 special offers which will allow you to get free licenses for more than 20 cameras (check the exact number of cameras on each offer’s page):
Write an article about Xeoma for our blog;
Write an article about Xeoma and post it in your blog;
Create a video review of Xeoma for YouTube.
Publish a review of Xeoma

If you choose to take part in any of them, we will be glad to provide you with demo licenses to perform everything in full. Feel free to reach out to us!

Q: I just ordered a licence of Xeoma from you. I need an invoice please. I payed with paypal. Also, can you please send the corresponding email?

A: Sure, you can get an invoice from your PayPal account or contact us to get one from us. Please note that when you buy through PayPal, an email with your license is dispatched to your PayPal email – one that is set up for emails in your PayPal account settings. If you didn’t get the email with your license within a couple of minutes, please check the Spam folder: our message may have ended up there.

(TRANSLATED) I have two cameras that are recording, but the others aren’t; their modules are disabled.
I’ve programmed all 18 cameras the same way, but only 5 cameras appear after restarting the software; the others disappear.

A: Are you currently using Xeoma Starter? This edition allows you to record up to 2 cameras. The “Preview And Archive” module is responsible for archive recording, and there can’t be more than 2 “Preview and Archive” modules on the server with Xeoma Starter license. All you need to do is to replace the “Preview and Archive” modules with the “Preview” modules on each of the rest 18 cameras. This way live view of all cameras will show up.

Q: Sorry a little question, I have Xeoma client on my Android, and there is a timestamp that jump randomly trough each camera and if i click in that camera automatically start the replay function. What’s that and why doesn’t it appear on a Windows client?

A: The timestamp you mentioned was a ‘Preview and archive’ feature. Unfortunately, this is default and cannot be erased, though you can make it less obstructive on the screen:

1) reduce the interface scale
2) create tabs with a smaller number of cameras on each

Windows is a desktop OS, and Android is an OS for portable devices, so their clients are a bit different.

Q: We’ve tried your rebranding tool for the Android app, and have some issues:

1- the logo of XEOMA on app icon still appears instead of our logo.
2- after opening the app: xeoma logo appears before the app home page.
3- the cameras border are missing, is it normal?

A: 1) and 2) Please make sure that you have the right .png file in the “icon” folder – this is what the rebranding utility uses for the Android app, not .ico.
3) Yes, this is the intended behavior, maximizing the use of the given screen space.
