Purchased a renewal for 8 cameras, but the software still only shows 4! Where is the problem?

Q: I purchased a renewal license for 8 cameras today, but the software still only shows 4!
Where is the problem?

A: It depends on whether your “original” Xeoma license is for 4 or for 8 cameras.

Please remember that Renewal is used only to extend the free updates period for a license.
Renewals don’t open a possibility to add more cameras than you had in your license.
You need to get the renewal for as many cameras as you had in your Xeoma license if you want to continue using all of them.

If you do, however, have an original Xeoma license for 8 cameras, you need to make sure it is also activated, along with the Renewal.
