Q: Do you offer a AI-powered software that I can use to track my barista productivity? (how many cups have they made)

A: Xeoma is flexible, so you can go 2 ways with it: either request custom development for AI to recognize the needed behavior by the most specific pattern, or re-purpose Xeoma’s existing modules and features to capture what you’d need. The former option is of course a more sure way to get highest accuracy but sometimes the #2 option does the job as well.

For example, the scenario you’ve mentioned can be implemented with “Color Recognition” module. There are 3 requirements for the system to work without additional modules:

1) The coffee cup must be one of the following colors: blue, green, orange, red, yellow;
2) The camera should be installed in such a place that nothing obstructs it’s view.

In that case each time an employee puts a cup in a certain place (onto the bar counter or into the coffee machine itself), the “Color Recognition” module will be triggered and the event will be written down in a CSV-report. In the end of the day you’ll get the number of cups of coffee made by your employees.

The only limitation will be that you won’t be able to define how many cups of coffee each of the employees has made. However, this issue can be solved by adding the “QR Code Recognition” module. The individual QR codes can be placed, for instance, on the employees’ caps. Once Xeoma recognizes the color and the QR together, the corresponding note will appear in the CSV-report.
