A: The answer depends on what license you use.
Some editions (Xeoma Starter, Xeoma Lite) do not allow updating to new versions unless you purchase a new license.
Xeoma Standard and Xeoma Pro licenses usually come with 1 year of free updates by default, so in most cases the jump from a version released in 2020 to a version released in 2022 would require a Renewal for your licenses.
Free and Trial editions of Xeoma, as well as rented licenses can use new versions of the software in nearly any case.

You can check your licenses in Xeoma’s Main menu -> Information -> Active licenses and see if they allow for the update.
