New Xeoma 25.8.22: What’s new?

Introducing Xeoma’s newest release version 25.8.22 with three new modules, remastering of the face recognition algorithms in the “Face Recognition” module, and over thirty other improvements!

Here’s more details:

1. The 25.8.22 version introduces three new modules – Inverter that inverts the logic of the modules before it, Timer that allows to set period of time when the modules should be working and when they should pause, and Duration Detector that is similar to the ‘Ignore events shorter than N seconds’ in the ‘Motion Detector’ – but this time, as a standalone module. All three are available in Xeoma Standard and Xeoma Pro.

2. The ‘Face Recognition’ module has undergone improvements where we replaced the former recognition methods with the new, better and more state-of-the-art ones. Besides, we added optimizations for recognition of people who facing cameras at an angle, thus elevating the recognition accuracy to a new level.

3. We’ve continued interface improvements to bring you further optimizations that help maintain unobscured view of what is important. Now, camera names got rid of a thick background patch, which was substituted with font shadows. Also, camera names in their preview boxes can also smoothly dissolve when idle. The welcome screen that greets new users now has just the most popular options, so it doesn’t distract newbies with what can wait.

4. Easier camera management with the new option for bulk addition of cameras right from Xeoma interface. Use a list in JSON format to add your cameras en masse. Also works for deletion of cameras. Find the new “Bulk camera addition/removal by list” option in the “+” menu.

5. As you may know, Xeoma VMS has a web interface. Now it offers an option to select a timezone to view recordings in. This is particularly useful for distributed networks where web interface users are located in different cities or countries.

6. Android app has an improved dialog for scanning of QR codes for connection. Also, issues with archive export and “Save to File” are fixed.

7. The Event log of Xeoma VMS now lists entries on activation errors and manual deletion of recordings, too.

8. Camera search has been improved with more options like remembering the password to apply to further searches or a new way to add cameras in bulk.

9. Mobile notifications have been streamlined to work fast even with the log list of alerts.

10. The new version also leverages several possible issues and crashes.
