Xeoma Cloud service and Xeoma Pro Your Cloud are both for cloud CCTV but they differ in their purposes and consequently where Xeoma must be run.

Let’s summarize:

Option One:
You can connect subscribers to Xeoma Cloud – a cloud video surveillance service on our server. Licensing type: monthly subscriptions. This service has fixed tariffs depending on the required stream resolution and storage time (see calculator).

Advantage of this Cloud type: no need to administer the server, update Xeoma versions, or monitor system performance.

Disadvantage of this Cloud type: camera parameters and tariff restrictions are set by us; reseller discounts are lower than for permanent licenses.

Option Two:
Cloud based on your server.
Using the Xeoma video surveillance software (product “Xeoma Pro Your Cloud”), you can deploy your own cloud video surveillance service based on your physical server and offer it to subscribers, for example, on a monthly tariff.

Advantages: freedom of settings and tariffs, easier connection of subscribers from your network, more discounts.

Disadvantage: deployed on your equipment.

Comparison with competitors:

Most competitors only work with Windows. The Xeoma video surveillance software works on Linux, Mac, Windows, Android and iOS. There are mobile and desktop applications, as well as a browser version – user personal cabinet and administrator panel.

In Xeoma, camera operations are much faster due to the use of libraries and parallel decoding on the processor, CPU video core (Intel Core series with QSV), and nVidia/CUDA graphics cards.

Tests and user reviews with identical settings indicate a higher number of simultaneously working cameras on Xeoma compared to other video surveillance software (about 400 cameras per server when using Xeon E5-2667/i7-4770K class processors).
