The ‘Loading archives’ error in archive viewer
If you are getting the error saying ‘Loading archives on the server, please try again later’ when trying to watch playback on the cameras, here’s what you can do:
If the current size of all archives on that machine is substantial (e.g. several TBs), the process or loading the archives can take a while on older version of Xeoma – depending on the server’s resources.
The load was optimized around version 18.2.2 and up.
If the archive is relatively small – please try rebooting the server.
Alternatively, you can follow these steps on the server:
1) stop Xeoma: Main menu –> Install –> Uninstall –> Uninstall except for archive and settings
2) access Xeoma’s main directory (https://felenasoft.com/xeoma/en/articles/settings/), XeomaArchive folder
3) rename the file Archive.db to anything else, for example OLD_archive.dab.
4) launch Xeoma
With renaming the database file, you will lose the meta data like information about areas where motion happened, but not the recordings themselves. You can get the database file back by renaming it back to Archive.db if you want.
