Q: does marking the entire camera view with the red brush increase the CPU load?
It happened that vandals(?) changed the direction of the camera, so the red recognition areas no longer matched. 🙁
-Does marking the entire camera view with the red brush increase the CPU load of the Xeoma server?
-Are there any other disadvantages from doing that?

A: Regarding your questions:
1) The difference is usually almost imperceptible, so basically there is no increase.
2) In terms of performance – not really; Xeoma still needs to decode the whole frame in order to apply any kind of analytics to any part of the frame. In term of utility – sometimes certain parts of the frame may include intensive motion that you don’t need to react to (e.g. part of a busy road), so it’s better to exclude these parts from detection.

If you need to be notified immediately when somebody tempered with the camera – feel free to use Problems Detector https://felenasoft.com/xeoma/en/articles/problems-detector/ with any kind of notifications.

Q: i want to watch my multiple stores camera round about 15 stores and each store contain 20 cameras how it posible

A: If you need to watch the cameras online only (with no archives), you can use Xeoma’s Free version for that – it has no limitations on the number of live cameras. Here is how you can connect these cameras to your PC or phone: felenasoft.com/xeoma/en/articles/add-a-remote-camera-in-xeoma/

Q: since last night xeoma does not see my 4 cameras, so I restated xeoma 25.7.25.
This did not make any difference, so I rebooted the linux computer. Then when I opened xeoma, it said there were activation problems. I copied and pasted the last license key I was sent, but xeoma complained that it could not connect to the server.
help please

A: Please first check that you have Internet connection on your computer.
Then, enter these two commands into your Terminal to see if your computer can send requests to our server at all:
nslookup a.felenasoft.com
ping a.felenasoft.com
