We want to move the old Xeoma licenses over after our old NVR broke down – but also want to renew the licenses. Can we do this in one go?

Q: We have an old NVR which has broken down, and we want to move the old licenses over – but also want to renew the licenses. I would prefer not to have to install an ancient version of Xeoma, just to renew. Is there a way we can do this?

A: Sure! As long as your old licenses are Standard or Pro, we sell Renewals for them that extend their period of getting new versions of Xeoma software.
First, untie your old licenses from the machine they were previous used on.
Then, simply purchase a Renewal for your old licenses – the same type and number of cameras you used to have.
Next, just get the latest Xeoma version and activate your old licenses together with the Renewals. You will be able to get new versions of Xeoma for as long as the Renewal’s time lasts, and then when it ends, you will be able to use the newest version of Xeoma at that moment.

For Starter and Lite licenses, since they do not have any Renewals, you can get newer version of Xeoma by buying a new Starter or Lite license, and replacing the old ones with it.
