Failed to connect with user account

Q: I put the ip and then the password of the created user, but the camera is not seen. it keeps giving me an error on the phone. What could be the problem?

A: First of all, please check that Xeoma on your computer is still running. If you exit Xeoma it, it will stop working and stop accepting connections.

Secondly, is the phone connected to the same LAN network as the computer? For example, connect both computer and the phone to the same WiFi. If the phone is on another network (for example, is using its own mobile Internet connection), the remote access procedure is more complicated.

Lastly, if the above mentioned 2 advice are not helping, it might be that Xeoma’s default port – 8090 – is not opened on our computer. We recommend to install Xeoma to auto start – then Xeoma will open this port to prepare it for connection.

To install Xeoma, you need to go to Xeoma’s Main menu -> Install -> Install (not installed yet) on your computer. In the dialog please select “Autostart the server part” and click the OK button. Xeoma will restart on your computer and you can try again.

Important: restarting Xeoma in the Trial version will reset your settings so you will need to add your camera and your user again. If you decide to install Xeoma, please make screenshots of the Universal Camera module settings, and the Users settings before you do the installation to help you do the setup from scratch again.
