Xeoma’s new feature: time-lapse!
Always wanted to review the highlights of your footage without the having to look through hours’ worth of recordings? It’s now easier than ever. We are excited to announce that the new time-lapse feature (effect of speeded playback) is already available in Xeoma.
Whether you are monitoring a construction site, tracking plant growth, watching your child play, or overseeing a parking lot, constant recording is essential. With our new Time-Lapse feature, you no longer need to watch hours of video. Simply export a condensed video summary to witness days of progress or key events in just a few moments.
Find the step-by-step instructions on how to do that below:1. Press archive button
2. Archive menu — Export: set interval
Select a time range using white triangle markers.
3. Archive menu — Export the segment — Export every N frame (you’ll need to specify necessary number of the frame that will be exported throughout the archive e.g. every 5\10\20 frame)
4. Get the time-lapse video
Once the export is complete, you can access your time-lapse video at the location specified in the ‘Full path to the stored file’ field.
That’s one way to get a time-lapse video. Here are further suggestion for speeded archive playback in Xeoma:
- view only episodes with motion with the “search by motion in the archive” option;
- record footage with altered FPS (frame rate) with the “Limiting the stream’s fps” option in the “Preview and Archive” module;
- speed up playback of recordings by selecting faster speed when viewing camera footage in Xeoma’s built-in archive player.
