“We tried some solutions with a local server and recordings stored on a cloud service on the internet using automated FTP routines. The problem was that we found only one cloud service that worked fast enough. However, it was not a stable solution, and our local computer would be stolen before the data was transferred to the internet cloud service.
Felenasoft’s solution, with a centralised server and direct storage of recorded data, and the use of a client to view recordings or live feeds from that server, ensures fast performance.
Running the Xeoma client on Windows 10 has been challenging. Windows installs updates and restarts overnight, leaving the PC in a login state. Windows also frequently freezes.
We now run the Xeoma client using Ubuntu Linux 18 and have no issues

I notice that the URL for storage in Xeoma now uses MNT, which is more specific, but I never had to do that in previous years. I suspect that Linux updates may require more specific usage due to security.
I will confirm that the archives are going to the correct locations and also delete the folders created on the Xeoma surveillance PC, now that I know where they are located. That’s why I had to buy a larger SSD, as I hadn’t looked for those folders. It’s a shame I didn’t contact Felenasoft earlier and saved some money.
Felenasoft staff are outstanding, and you have an excellent company. I wish many US companies were as technically capable as you and provided such excellent service.

I’ve set up two cameras that broadcast in RTSP and have a micro SD card that they record onto, and I’ve been looking for something to monitor those cameras inside the house.
